It all started when...

Michael Pritchard moved to the Isles of Scilly in 19XX to become manager of the Star Castle Hotel.  And this is where he met his wife, Janet.  They soon got married and moved to Kent where Michael became the Catering Manager for Fenwicks.

Some time later Michael and Janet bought a tea room and gift shop in the picturesque village of Alfriston in East Sussex from where Michael was the baker for numerous local businesses.

In 1985 they purchased Deans Place Hotel in Alfriston, a country house hotel with 40 bedrooms.  After 10 successful years there, they decided to spend more time with the family and semi-retired.

Janet passed in 2005 and soon after, Michael decided to 'come home' and returned to the Scilly Isles.  He purchased Number 16 Jacksons Hill and completely renovated it to become his house with a self contained apartment below.

He also owns and runs the Scilly Cart Co with his brother, Willie.
